A pilot and passenger were injured when a Cessna twin-seater airplane crashed and caught fire in Delta County, Colorado Sunday.
Delta County Sheriff’s identified Bar Nunn, Wyoming residents Tyler Beyer, 35 and Jessica Beyer, 33 as the plane’s occupants. Witnesses told The Daily Sentinel that the plane was experiencing what sounded like engine problems before crashing.
The plane came down near Ward Creek Reservoir, which is about 20 miles east of Grand Junction.
The Daily Sentinel reported the couple were transported to a hospital in Grand Junction with serious injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
