RIVERTON, Wyo. — The search for Central Wyoming College’s next president is moving forward. On Friday, Sept. 18, the Screening Committee chose nine semifinal candidates to interview via Zoom. The committee is scheduled to interview semifinalists Sept. 30-Oct. 2 and determine the finalists who will visit Central Wyoming College in October.
During their visits, finalists will formally interview with the CWC Board of Trustees and have opportunities to visit CWC locations and meet with college employees, students and community partners. Community members will have opportunities to participate in the finalist process, including joining forums via Zoom and providing input through presidentialsearch.cwc.edu.
Finalist visits are scheduled for:
- Wednesday-Thursday, Oct. 7-8
- Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 12-13
- Wednesday-Thursday, Oct. 14-15
- Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 19-20
Opportunities for the community to meet and ask questions of the finalists are scheduled for the second day of each visit as follows:
- Riverton 8-9 a.m. on the CWC Riverton Campus
- Lander 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the CWC Lander Center
- Jackson 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Jackson Center for the Arts, Room 118
“The selection of Central Wyoming College’s next president is one of the most important responsibilities of the Board of Trustees, and we appreciate the thoughtful participation of our college and communities throughout this process,” said CWC Board of Trustees Chair and Presidential Screening Committee Chair Paula Hunker. “We look forward to welcoming the finalists to CWC and providing opportunities for our employees, students and community partners to meet the candidates and learn more about their vision for the future of the college.”
Additional details, including the names of the finalists, schedules, locations and opportunities to participate, will be announced as the finalist visits approach. Those unable to attend in person will have the opportunity to participate via Zoom on the CWC Presidential Search webpage.
Community members, employees and students are also encouraged to share their perspectives following the finalist forums through the CWC Presidential Search webpage. Feedback will be provided as part of the presidential search process.
The presidential search follows CWC President Brad Tyndall’s announcement that he will retire effective Jan. 29, 2027. The CWC Board of Trustees is conducting a nationwide search, with Pauly Group Inc. assisting with candidate recruitment and the search process.
The Board of Trustees is expected to select CWC’s next president by early November, with the successful candidate beginning the presidency in January 2027.
