The schedule is out for the 2020 Pedigree Stage Stop Dog Sled race across Wyoming and a bit of Idaho.
The race again features a stage in Lander, this time set for Wednesday, February 5th. The Lander event usually includes an event on Main Street where the community can interact with the mushers and dogs. That event has not yet been confirmed through the Stage Stop website.
This year, Anny Malo, a musher from Quebec, Canada won the event. Emilie Entrikin from Fairbanks, Alaska was the runner-up and Bondurant, Wyoming’s Alix Crittenden finished third.
In 2019, the Lander Race was held on “the switchbacks” up the Loop Road, starting and ending at Bruce’s parking lot. In previous years, the race has been held on South Pass where there is more snow. The route for 2020 will be announced closer to stage time.
