It’s time again for the University of Wyoming Extension Office’s Fremont County Farm & Ranch Days!
This year’s program will offer more than 25 educational sessions in Riverton at the Fremont County Fairgrounds, February 5th and 6th.
All events are free and open to the public, with no RSVP required. Sessions for both days begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 2:45 p.m., with free lunch provided by the Fremont County Cattle Women at 1 p.m. both days.
In addition to workshops about livestock management, weed and pest control, and current agricultural legislation, there is also a Pesticide Certification Class on Thursday, February 6th that will provide certification to anyone needing to obtain or renew their Private Pesticide Applicator License. Presenters include Fremont County Weed & Pest, Fremont County Trappers, the Wyoming
Wool Growers Association, and Ag educators from across the state of Wyoming.
Wednesday’s keynote address is an agricultural legislative update from James Nygren, legislative affairs officer with Farm Credit Services of America. Thursday’s keynote speaker Rob Ziegler with the UW Extension Office, providing an in-depth analysis of current and projected market conditions for sheep and cattle.
