It’s time again for the University of Wyoming Extension Office’s Fremont County Farm & Ranch Days!
This year’s program will offer educational sessions in Riverton at the Fremont County Fairgrounds, February 11th and 12th.
All events are free and open to the public, with no RSVP required. Sessions for both days begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 2:45 p.m., with free lunch provided by the Fremont County Cattle Women at 1 p.m. both days.
In addition to workshops about livestock management and weed and pest control, there is also a Pesticide Certification Class on Thursday, February 12th that will provide certification to anyone needing to obtain or renew their Private Pesticide Applicator License. A full schedule can be found here.
Presenters include Fremont County Weed & Pest, Wyoming Game & Fish, the Wyoming
Wool Growers Association, and Ag educators from across the state of Wyoming.
Wednesday’s keynote address is a look at the current cattle and crop markets with Colter Brown of the Northern Ag Network. Thursday’s panel of diagnosticians from the Wyoming State Veterinary Laboratory will share their perspectives on Johne’s disease, other causes of scours, and recent challenging cases. (Lunch presentations begin at 1:30 p.m.)
