At 6:49 p.m. Sunday evening, the Riverton Police Department and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the Wyoming Honor Farm for a report of a 51-year-old man that was unresponsive and not breathing.
The 51-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the initial Riverton Police Department media release, foul play was not suspected, but the case remains under investigation.
The inmate was identified by the Associated Press as Charles M. Shaw of Casper. Shaw was sentenced in November 2017 for drug-related charges.
