All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Riverton, WY) – According to a Riverton Police Department call log, officers responded June 6 at 10:11 a.m. to the 600 block of East Fremont Avenue for a reported kidnapping.
The call information stated that a male in a white Buick was “twisting her arm” and that the woman was bleeding from her hand.
According to the call log, Christopher Adkins, 63, of Riverton, was arrested and charged with kidnapping, robbery, and aggravated burglary after officers determined he had accosted a 95-year-old woman in a parking lot.
The log states Adkins followed the woman to her car, grabbed her as she got in, and attempted to drive away, then grabbed and held her hand, slightly cutting her finger as he attempted to pry her car keys away.
When officers arrived, Adkins was still in the car assaulting the victim and had to be physically removed, according to the call log.
