(Cheyenne, WY) – High Wind Warnings and Watches have been in place throughout the Cowboy State Wednesday.
Thus far it appears the highest wind gust recorded was near Cheyenne at 93 miles per hour. The record comes about 11 miles west of Warren Air Force Base.
Arlington recorded a gust of 78 mph, Bordeaux had a 75 mph gust and the Cheyenne Airport is making flying a bit tricky with a 71 mph gust.
Large sections of Interstate 80 have closed to light high profile vehicles throughout the day.
