In 1920, A.D. Martin came to Lander from Missouri and sold horse-drawn farm equipment. By October of 1954 he’d opened the A.D. Martin Lumber Company with his sons, Davis and Jack, to serve Riverton and the Wind River Basin.
From miners and oil men to contractors and home owners, A.D Martin Lumber has worked with many different industries to build a better community! A family owned business now operated by A.D. Martin’s great-grandson, John, customers travel to one of A.D. Martin’s three retails locations around Wyoming to do business with a company they trust.
To celebrate 70 years of business, A.D. Martin Lumber is throwing an anniversary party at their location on Main Street in Riverton. On Friday, October 4th, visit the home store from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to compete at the nail driving or hand sawing competitions, for a chance to win a brand new nail gun or electric saw! There will also be a square foot and distance measuring contest with prizes, as well as giveaways for those in attendance.
Then on Monday October 7th you can visit A.D. Martin Lumber in Dubois, or Laramie on October 17th, to celebrate with in-store anniversary events at their other locations around Wyoming.
