(Fremont County, WY) – The final WyoPreps.com Coaches & Media rankings of the season have been released as we enter the post-season.
From the pre-season rankings, to the post-season rankings, Riverton didn’t move a single spot. The Wolverines were ranked #3 in class 3A football all season long. Star Valley and Cody were ranked #1 and #2 all season.
The Lander Tigers spent the last several weeks of the year as the 4th ranked team, and that’s where the 3A East’s second place team finished. Jackson wound up as the #5 ranked team with Douglas on the outside looking in, despite beating Jackson head-to-head earlier this year. #4 Lander will host #5 Jackson in one of the more intriguing first round playoff matchups this Friday.
Dubois was ranked for a short portion of the season in 1A 6-man football. The Rams however, finished just outside of the top five gathering several votes this week. Little Snake River was the unanimous #1 in 6-man all year. Encampment, Burlington, Hulett and Farson-Eden round out the top five in the final poll of the season.
Pine Bluffs, Big Horn and Sheridan were clear top choices in 9-man, 2A and 4A respectively.
