(Riverton, WY) – Riverton city officials took a moment during Tuesday’s city council meeting to honor the memory of former dispatcher Anne Metzler, who passed away recently due to a sudden illness.
City Administrator Kyle Butterfield expressed gratitude for the service Metzler provided the city, sharing his condolences with her family as well as her team members who “knew her well,” while Mayor Tim Hancock reflected on his memories of Metzler, recalling her professionalism and kindness – especially during his years as Riverton’s city prosecutor, when he would often cross paths with her while picking up paperwork in the dispatch center.
“Anne was always very professional – willing to step in where she was needed – and just someone that I enjoyed having the opportunity to get to know,” Hancock said. “She was just a special person, and she’ll be missed.”
