Absentee balloting is now available.
Statutes have changed and absentee ballots will only be available for the next 28 days.
Here in Fremont County, we also are holding Early Absentee Voting where you can check in, get a paper ballot, and put it through a voting tabulator – just like at the polls on election day.
Early absentee voting is available in Lander at the Election Office, located on the bottom floor of the courthouse Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through August 19.
Be sure to have a photo ID available when you arrive as you will be required to show it. Absentee ballots are also available to be picked up or to be mailed to you.
The Election Office mailed out over 1700 absentee ballots Tuesday and those ballots must be returned to the County Clerk’s Office (in Lander) by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day (August 20, 2024) to be counted.
If you come to pick up your ballot, be sure to bring your ID as you will be required to show it to get your ballot.
The County Clerk has also set up a hotline to check to see if your voted ballot has arrived back to the office. Call 307-332-1122 to check on your ballot. If you have questions or want to order a ballot, call the Election Office at 307-332-1088 or 1089.
