(Riverton, WY) – Plunge into icy, cold water at Riverton’s City Hall parking lot on Saturday, March 29 for the Special Olympics Jackalope Jump Fundraiser. Dozens of athletes, Riverton Police Officers, and community members take part in this annual exhilarating winter experience. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with jumpers making a splash at 11 a.m.
Athletes are currently out in the community collecting donations to earn great prizes and raise money to help pay for Special Olympics Riverton programming, which includes travel, lodging and equipment. It’s a hundred dollar minimum to jump and you get a t-shirt; raise more than that, and you can earn even more prizes.
Everyone is invited to join in the fun. Throw on your best costume, gather your friends and family and help support your local athletes. If you would like to donate, talk with an athlete or message the Special Olympics Wyoming – Riverton Facebook page for more information.

A special thank you goes out to the Riverton Fire Department for filling the pool full of chilly water, City Hall for allowing the fundraiser to happen on their parking lot, and the Riverton Police Officers who take the plunge. This event would also not be possible without the numerous volunteers.
