“Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.”
(Fremont County, WY) – The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is calling on communities across the state to come together this November to help feed Wyoming families.
Throughout the month of November, DWS offices throughout Wyoming will be collecting nonperishable food items and personal care essentials to support local families in need.
“SNAP benefits have been reduced,” the agency said in a flyer for the donation drive. “Let’s make sure no one goes hungry.”
People can drop off donations at their DWS Workforce Center any time this month.
The items will go directly to local food organizations serving the community.

Most needed items include:
- Canned vegetables, fruits, soups, and meats
- Pasta, rice, cereal, and peanut butter
- Shelf-stable milk and canned beans
- Diapers, baby food, formula, deodorant, and soap
DWS also encourages anyone who may need assistance – or who knows someone in need – to visit their local centers as well to collect donated items.
“Don’t hesitate to help yourself or your neighbors,” the event flyer says. “Every can, box, and bag makes a difference.”
