“Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.”
(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton High School Soccer teams will host their annual Wolverine Soccer Pink Game on Tuesday, May 5. Games will be played at 2:00 PM (JV boys and girls), 4:00 PM (girls’ team), and 6:00 PM(boys’ team).
“Every year at this time, the Wolverine and Lady Wolverine soccer teams come together with a purpose that goes far beyond the field,” event organizers explain. “They take on a mission to support someone in our community who needs it most. Sometimes it is one person. Sometimes it is more, like last year, when they supported two local children. Since this effort began in 2022, over 54,000 dollars has been raised to help families right here in Riverton.”
This year, organizers elected to help a fellow member of the Riverton soccer community, Mike Becker, but according to the event GoFundMe page, there was “a twist.”
“While Mike and his entire family were truly humbled and honored to have this year’s Pink Game dedicated to his fight, he graciously declined any financial support,” the page bio states. “Instead, he encouraged organizers to find a family who could benefit even more from the help. When Mike learned about another family facing this difficult battle, he knew exactly where that support should go.”
The funds will now go toward Cameron and Jaci Cuttlers, who have lived in Riverton since 2015, along with their teenage son Calon.
“In November 2025, their family received unexpected news when Cameron was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer that affects the bone marrow,” the page bio explains, and since that time has had to travel to Casper at least once each week for immunotherapy treatments and oral chemotherapy.
