“Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.”
(Riverton, WY) – A group of compassionate students from Riverton High School is stepping up to help those affected by the recent hurricane in North Carolina. The RHS National Honor Society, with support from FFA and the Student Council, is organizing a supply drive, aiming to fill a semi-truck with essential items for victims of the disaster.
The students are requesting donations of the following new or unopened items:
• Hand warmers, coats, blankets, gloves, socks, towels (New or Newer Only)
• Non-perishable food, canned goods, can openers
• Baby items: Diapers, formula, wipes
• Cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products
• Sump pumps, camp stoves, tents, tarps, rakes/shovels, heavy-duty trash bags
• Paper plates, bowls, plastic utensils
• Pet food and supplies
Note: No clothing donations at this time, aside from coats, gloves, socks, and blankets.
Donations can be dropped off at the high school during school hours from now through November 18.
