It was two in a row for Riverton junior Addison Alley in the Class 4-A 100-meter hurdles. She coasted to the finals in the preliminary heat, sitting in sixth place in lane seven entering Saturday’s final, but turned on the jets when it mattered, racing to her second consecutive state championship behind a 14.65.
She added a fourth in the 100-meter dash in 12.86 and joined Ashlynn Prettyman, Cadence McGuffey, and Victoria Gale in a sixth-place time of 50.41 in the 4×100-meter relay.
Alexis Taylor rounded out the Lady Wolverines’ state meet performance with a throw of 124-6, third place, in the discus.
For the Wolverines, Kayden Liebrecht was second in the discus with a throw of 149-11, and Clay Sheets was eighth in the 300-meter hurdles in 42.64.
On Friday, Liebrecht, who was seated a close second in the shot put, fouled wide right on all three preliminary throws and didn’t advance.
