(Casper, WY) – The Casper Police Department has issued a press release about a suspected armed burglar who was shot and killed at 12:36 a.m. Monday in a residence on the 1600 block of South McKinley Street.
CPD Captain Jeremy Tremel told Casper media, “It was reported that an armed individual was inside of a residence.” Cowboy State Daily explained that the release from CPD stated that once officers arrived on scene at the residence they encountered a subject and that during the encounter shots were fired.
The Casper PD release stated the suspect was taken to Wyoming Medical Center and later pronounced dead. They also noted there was no ongoing threat to the community and that there were no injured officers.
