(Gillette, WY) – Fremont County crowned a pair of individual champions and a first place relay at the Wyoming Indoor Track Championships over the weekend in Gillette.
Riverton hurdling phenom Addison Alley won the 55 meter hurdles to win the Class 4-A race in 8.4 seconds. Lander junior thrower Adelyn Anderson won a state title in the Class 3-A shot put with a heave of 40-0.5.
The Lady Tiger 4×400 meter relay of Eliza Scott, Ella Giesmann, Katie Anderson and Ava Gerlach, also crossed the line in first place.
Lander’s Brayden Johnon-Baker had an outstanding meet as well, placing fifth in the 55-meter dash, sixth in the 200 meter dash and runner-up in the 400 meter dash. His time of 53.26 was off his season best of 51.2 set on a 400-meter indoor track in Utah. The Gillette facility is 200 meters so a 400 requires two laps and the curves take time off multi-lap events.
The outdoor season began on Monday with meets coming at the end of March.
