(Dubois, WY) – The Wyoming Legislature’s Appropriations Committee will hold a two-day meeting this week in Fremont County.
The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, with a tour of Community Entry Services in Riverton, by invitation.
After the tour, the committee will meet at 12:30 p.m. at the National Museum of Military Vehicles at 4619 U.S. Highway 26 in Dubois to discuss wildfire mitigation, management, and response funding, including information on the 2025 fire season, wildfire inmate hand crews, wildfire mitigation, and volunteer firefighter benefits.
The meeting will continue at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, in the same location, beginning with a discussion about sales and use taxes and the local government direct distribution.
The committee will also discuss the Developmentally Disabled Waiver Program before adjourning.
The meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the Wyoming Legislature’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are also available.
