The Arapaho Charter High School Student of the Week is Amaya LoneBear!
Amaya, a senior at ACHS and the daughter of Brittany Spoonhunter, is an excellent student and highly respected member of the student body. Through seven semesters, she has accumulated a grade point average of 3.7 and shows no signs of slowing down. She is presently taking English 1010 at CWC for dual credit and holds an A in that class as well. A nominating teacher writes, “Amaya is a great student, motivated and always willing to help out. She is funny, smart and polite. Amaya is hardworking and always on top of her work. She was always the first one done with any assignment first semester, and was willing to help others finish their projects as well.” Beyond the classroom, Amaya also involves herself in school and district activities, including fund raising, prom planning, and the district’s Food Distribution program. Outside of school, she enjoys writing, drawing, listening to music, reading, beading, and going on long drives with her family. Upon graduation this May, she plans to attend college and pursue a career in journalism. ACHS is proud of you, Amaya – great things lie ahead!
