Kaylum Piper is the Arapaho Charter High School Student of the Week to round out first semester!
Kaylum is in his sophomore year at ACHS, and is the son of Cory Piper and Keshia Strickland. He has taken responsible ownership of his education in his second year of high school and is performing with excellence in the classroom and beyond. "Kaylum is always very polite, nice, and has been working hard this year," writes a nominating teacher. "His grades are great and his attendance has improved greatly. He always says thank you and is willing to help out whenever he is asked. He is a great kid and I love seeing him in the hallways of ACHS!" His dedication and consistent positive presence has been noticed and appreciated by staff and peers alike.
At ACHS Kaylum likes to help out with the district's Food Distribution program. When he's not in school he loves to go fishing and camping, and enjoys video games when he can't be in the outdoors – with Rocket League as his go-to in that realm. After graduation from high school in the not-too-distant future he plans to earn his Commercial Driver’s License and pursue a career as a truck driver. Congratulations and Merry Christmas, Kaylum!
