Each week, staff at Arapaho Charter High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Kylah Rhodes was nominated as the Arapaho Charter High School student of the week by William Benn.
The Arapaho Charter High School Student of the Week is Kylah Rhodes!
Kylah is a 10th grade students at ACHS, and the daughter of Matthew Rhodes and Andrea Blackburn. She is a constant fixture on the academic honor roll, and is active in myriad ways within the school. This fall she participated on the school’s Golf team, and assumed a leadership role as the Warrior Council Treasurer for the year. “Kylah always produces superior work in my class,” writes her nominating teacher, “and meets her deadlines without fail. She is always ready to help her classmates, too.” I need, here in the second quarter she sports a 3.7 Grade Point Average. Now that basketball season has arrived, Kylah is continuing her extracurricular excellence as a part of the Boo’eiseinoo (Lady Warriors) team.
Outside of school, Kylah enjoys planning basketball any chance she gets, performing cultural dancing, doing native beading, and hanging out with her family and dogs. She also takes on an entrepreneurial venture in selling her beadwork. After graduation from high school, Kylah plans to either join the Marine Corps or attend Wind River Job Corps to learn a trade. Well-earned, Kylah!
