Each week, staff at Arapaho Charter High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.

Kyree Birdshead is the Arapaho Charter High School Student of the Week!
A 10th grade student at ACHS, Kyree is the granddaughter of Sonja Birdshead and the daughter of Kayla Birdshead-Black. She was nominated by ACHS faculty for her outstanding academic efforts to reach straight-As, her kind and pleasant demeanor, and her contagious smile. “Kyree is very polite, she has started to fit into ACHS quite well. She has worked hard to establish herself as a hard working, compassionate student and it’s showing!” writes one staff member. Another says ” Kyree is quick to check and double check to make sure she has nor missed any assignments. She is also present in school at all times. She is also thoughtful of the rules in the classroom and the School.” Yet a third stated “She is very diligent, optimistic, and willing to learn and improve everyday. She is also extremely polite and respectful.”
Kyree is no stranger to recognition, having received honors for perfect attendance, math, and science. She helps with the district’s Food Distribution program and is quick to help with other activities. outside of school she enjoys going places with her family, taking walks, and drawing. After she graduates from high school Kyree plans to attend college and pursue a degree, and eventually a career, in botany. Keep it up Kyree!
