Each week, staff at Arapaho Charter High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Richard Brown was nominated as the Arapaho Charter High School student of the week by ACHS Staff.
The Arapaho Charter High School Student of the Week is Richard Brown!
Richard is a junior at ACHS, and the son of Rupert Brown and Melaine Friday. Now in his 3rd year at ACHS, he has made great strides in both his academics and contributions to the overall climate of the school. “I believe Richard has really been improving on his citizenship in school and his grades. He wants to do better and is actively trying. He is really into drawing lately and has taken a liking to certain styles of font designs. I think he deserves some recognition for his efforts and his improvements this year,” writes a nominating teacher. Another states “he has shown a lot of growth since the beginning of the semester. He is working more diligently and taking pride in his work.” He is know for his friendly smile and humorous approach with friends and staff alike. He is active at ACHS with the district Food Distribution program and participates in school activities regularly.
When he’s not in school – and often even when he is – he loves to play basketball with his friends. His sense of humor is fun-loving, and he enjoys engaging his friends in some fun-loving sarcasm and banter. His laughter is contagious, and he likes to have fun with his crew whenever he can. After graduating from high school next year, Richard plans to enroll in a culinary arts school and train to become a chef. Keep up the great work, Richard; we are proud of you!
