Arapaho Charter High School's Student of the Week is Dancing Lyte Oldman!
The daughter of Arapahoe Oldman and Dionne Addison, Dancing Lyte – who goes by Ryan at school – is an 11th grade student at ACHS. Despite this being her junior year, Ryan will be graduating in May of this year; a truly outstanding accomplishment. This is the second time in her years at ACHS to win this award. "Ryan is a not only a great student but a great human being," writes a nominating teacher. "She is kind to others, funny, has a wonderful attitude, and a strong work ethic. She is a great asset to ACHS. We are going to be sad to see her graduate, but are excited to see what can do!" Another stated, "Ryan is a joy to have in class. She thinks outside the box and is excited to share her ideas. She is quick to get involved in projects and is diligent in getting her work completed." She has been on ACHS honor rolls each semester of her high school career and boasts a solid 3.5 grade point average. She is active in Golf, Track, and Basketball, and is the Treasurer for the Warrior Council, the school's student government. When she's not at an athletic practice or in the classroom, Ryan enjoys hanging out in the mountains, swimming, and going to the park. After graduating in May she is planning to attend the University of Alaska to become an about mechanic. We'll hate to lose such a great student and young lady, but we are so proud of you, Ryan!!
