Shotenei Monroe is Arapaho Charter High School's Student of the Week!
Shotenei, a junior at ACHS, is the granddaughter of Angela Spoonhunter. She is a steady and positive presence in the school, an excellent student, and is active with many school activites. "Shotenei is a hard working, determined individual," writes a nominating teacher. "She works hard at things she doesn't understand and asks for help when needed. She has perfect or near perfect attendance, she participates in class discussions, and is actively engaged everyday." She is a true lead-by-example student, and this is the second time in her high school career that she has been recognized with this honor! Teachers and peers alike appreciate her smile and her unique sense of humor as well.
When she's not working hard on her studies or participating in school events, Shotenei loves to read, sketch, play basketball, and play virtual reality video games; Gorilla Tag is her current favorite. After graduating from high school next year, she plans to attend college to pursue an Arts career as either an actor or an artist. Or maybe both! Thanks for being such an amazing student, Shotenei – we are very proud of you!
