Sophia Friday was nominated as the Arapaho Charter High School student of the week by ACHS Staff.
The Student of the Week for Arapaho Charter High School is Sophia Friday!
Sophia, the daughter of Marcus Friday, Sr. and Jolene Alberts, is a junior at ACHS and a well-respected member of the student body. She is actively involved in nearly every aspect of student life, playing volleyball and basketball, as well as track & field this spring. She is the Treasurer for the Warrior Council, ACHS' student government, is active with the district's Food Distribution program, and helps lead the prom planning committee. Her academics are strong as well, as she has made the ACHS honor rolls each of the first 3 quarters this year and shows no signs of slowing down. "Sophia is a dedicated and diligent student," writes a nominating staff member. "Her attendance is fantastic and she is always willing to help other students. She is a great addition to our school." Another states "Sophia is a steady and calm presence at ACHS and carries herself with a graceful confidence. Her peers recognize the positive energy she brings each and every day." When she is not in school or at practice, Sophia loves to spend time with loved ones, babysit, cook and clean at home, and enjoy quality self-time. Once she graduates from high school in 2027 she plans to attend college to possibly study statistics or literacy and become a mentor for others. She is also considering a career in the medical field.
