Taya Lewis was nominated as the Arapaho Charter High School student of the week by ACHS Staff.
Taya Lewis is the Arapaho Charter High School Student of the Week!
Taya, an 11th grade student at ACHS,is the daughter of Benjamin Runningshield and Keina Duran. She is new to ACHS this year and has quickly moved to the forefront of our student body. "Taya Lewis has come to ACHS this year with ambition! She has joined the Volleyball team and is running for student body President," writes a nominating staff member. "She comes with great ideas and has embraced this school with open arms. She works hard and is motivated. Welcome Taya, we are so happy to have you here!" She sports a 3.85 GPA so far in the 1st quarter and is well-respected by staff and peers alike.
In addition to playing on the ACHS Volleyball team, she also plans to play basketball and possibly run track as well. She loves getting involved in school activities and participates enthusiastically. When she's not in school or at practice Taya enjoys baking, sewing, taking naps and listening to music. R&B artist Bryson Tiller presently tops her playlists. When she graduates from high school in May of 2026 she hopes attend college and pursue a career as an immigration attorney or a mental health provider.
