Arnhold Twins, Gibson and Velarde runner-up at 4-A West Regional

Eight Fremont County girls placed in the top four at the West 4-A Regional Wrestling Tournament in Evanston last weekend.

Freshman twins Peyton and Sawyer Arnhold were runner-up at 105 and 110 pounds respectively as were Lander Lady Tigers Andie Gibson and Harlie Velarde at 145 and 170 pounds.

Wind River’s Molly Bornhoft and Lily Hill were both fourth at 105 and 115 pounds.

Lander’s Jordan Nielsen was third at 125 and Riverton’s Aleah Marquez was fourth at 235 pounds.

Star Valley ran away with the team title finishing over 100 points ahead of second-place Pinedale. Lander was 8^th with 87 points, Shoshoni 10^th with 73, and Wind River 11th at 71 points.

The girls’ state wrestling championships begin this Thursday at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.
