(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 4, and have provided the following recap of the meeting.
- The 2026 District Valuation Summary was approved at the Special Mill Levy Meeting on August 3, 2026.
(Please click here for more information.) - A grant award agreement with the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security for $4,000 was approved for Election Security.
- It was approved to sign the point of contact form for the SFY 2027-2028 Community Prevention Grant.
- Approach Access application 2025-031A was approved for Lower North Fork Rd from Croell Inc.
Right-of-way Easement application 2025-1722U was approved near Honor Farm Prison, on Honor Farm Road and canal from Rocky Mountain Power. - It was approved to partially vacate Pleasant Drive contingent on the approval of the re-plat of the subdivision.
- It was approved to rehire a full-time Collections Manager at the Dubois Museum with an annual salary amount of $38,780.
- A service agreement between the City of Riverton and the Fremont County Juvenile Justice Services in the amount of $20,000 for FYE 2027 was approved.
- A service agreement between the City of Lander and the Fremont County Juvenile Justice Services in the amount of $35,000 for FYE 2027 was approved.
- A contract position for a Substance Use Assessment Specialist was approved for the Treatment Courts to be reviewed annually.
- It was approved to rehire a full-time benefitted Road Maintenance Level 1-2 with an annual salary of $45,000–$55,000.
- It was approved to rehire a full-time benefitted Public Health Response Coordinator for $25–$28 an hour.
- A Grant Agreement contract with the Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Division was approved not to exceed $112,000 to help fund the Public Health Response Coordinator.
- The following Capital Revolving Fund requests were approved to go out to bid: Transportation Department for four 2026 Chevrolet Crew pickups; Sheriff’s Department for two 2026 Chevrolet Crew pickups, PC replacements, dash cams, body cameras, and Tasers; and Lander Circuit Court for carpet.
