(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 5, and have provided the following recap of the meeting.
- A contract between the Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Division, was approved setting the terms of the appointed county health officer and their support of the public health nursing office in relation to public preparedness and response.
- An indigent burial in the amount of $1,500 was approved to come out of the commissioner’s budget and will be reimbursed annually through the WCCA.
- A service agreement between Juvenile Justice Services and Riverton City was approved.
- A letter of completion for the Wiggins Creek Bridge was accepted.
- A petition to vacate a portion of Deer Creek Road was accepted, and a viewer was appointed.
- A petition to create a county road within the Painted Hills Subdivision at Leseberg Avenue from Highway 26 to Mason Drive to its intersection with Kingfisher Road was accepted, and a viewer was appointed.
- A petition to create a county road within the Fox Springs Subdivision was accepted, and a viewer was appointed.
- A quitclaim deed to Wyoming Catholic College was approved for the vacated portion of Highway 789, as referenced in Resolution 2025-11 recorded on July 8, 2025.
- The following capital revolving fund projects were authorized and may go to bid:
- ISS Department: telephone system ($51,000), Microsoft Office update ($21,000), desktop PCs ($16,000), and server ($20,000)
- Sheriff’s Department: office computers ($58,000)
- Transportation: connex boxes ($15,000)
- Emergency fund: $100,000
- The following requests were previously approved for emergency capital revolving funds:
- Building maintenance for an air conditioner compressor ($34,000)
- Vehicle replacement for the Transportation Department ($72,000)
