Riverton Middle School will have a new principal beginning in the fall of 2020.
Aziz Waheed will take over the role as current principal, Brant Nyberg, moves into a new job with the school district. Waheed had been the Assistant Principal at RMS and the head boys soccer coach for Riverton High School’s varsity squad.
The position change for Waheed forced him to step down from his soccer position. While Aziz is excited for the new position, he noted that he was very sad to leave the program.
The County 10 Kickoff Podcast caught up with Waheed recently to chat about his favorite soccer memories, the future of the program, his new role as principal, and challenges COVID-19 has created in local education.
