(Riverton, Wyo.) – Two Small Engine Air Tanker aircraft (SEAT) have now taken up residence at their base at Riverton Regional Airport for the fire season. Most recently, the two tankers have been involved in the Terek fire fight north of Worland and a grass/brush fire outside of Lander earlier this week.
The Bureau of Land Management leased a 10,000 square foot area at the airport for the tanker base, which include portable structures for offices and slurry mixing tanks.
