(Lander, WY) – The Bookmarked Literary Arts Festival is pleased to announce a new program, our Meet a Wyoming Author panel series. The first Meet a Wyoming Author panel is scheduled for May 8, 2026, in Lander. This program is made possible through our partnership with Wyoming Humanities. A second author panel will be held in September.
Bookmarked has invited three authors to join our speaker panel. On the day of the panel, the authors will work with area students to discuss their content and craft, followed by the evening panel discussion, which is free to the public. Bookmarked will provide free copies of the authors’ books through Fremont County Public Libraries. Readers are encouraged to attend the panel discussion to interact with the authors.
Chad Hanson, a Casper author and instructor at Casper College, will discuss his book In a Land of Awe: Finding Reverence in the Search for Wild Horses. This book was the 2023 Wyoming Humanities selection for the National Book Festival. Chad’s website is www.chadhanson.org.

Shelli Johnson, a Lander author, will discuss her book, Breathtaking: A Field Guide to Living Your Epic Life. Shelli’s website.
Indie Darling Bookstore in Lander, in partnership with Bookmarked Literary Arts Festival, will host a discussion and workshop with author Mandie Hines at the bookstore on Saturday, May 9 at 9:30 in the morning. Registration will be available online at indiedarlingbookstore.com starting April 7th. Register online first and Mandie’s thriller, The Lost Always Take off Their Shoes, will be available for pickup at the bookstore.
In addition to the new program, Bookmarked Literary Arts Festival will hold its annual free fall festival in Lander on October 9 -11, 2026.
