The Wind River Cultural Centers Foundation and Fremont County Museums are thrilled to introduce The Rare Relics Roadshow: a unique daylong event that combines professional appraisals with community celebration and cultural engagement.
Uncover the stories behind your valuables, and then enjoy a live auction and dinner, all at the Lander Community Center (950 Buena Vista Drive) on Saturday, October 4th.
This inaugural event blends expert artifact evaluation with interactive experiences, creating opportunities to:
- Connect with fellow community members who share your passion for history
- Discover the hidden stories and value of your treasured family heirlooms
- Celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Fremont County and beyond
- Support the vital preservation work of our local museums
New Frontier Auctions founder Scott Tarbell will be the featured guest of this Rare Relics Roadshow, as he will be both appraising and auctioning items at the event. Tarbell attended Laramie High School and the University of Wyoming, and since the 1980s has specialized in Pre-1900 Western Artifacts, particularly Winchester firearms, working with leading auction houses and regularly attending major gun shows across the country.
“My primary goal is to expand our industry and maintain an interest in American history and Western Heritage,” says Tarbell.
Wyoming Public Television will be at the Rare Relics Roadshow to record the event, with the possibility of it airing on Wyoming PBS.
🎟️ Tickets to dinner and the silent and live auction are $80 per person, or $120 per couple.
👑 VIP tickets to the event include a year-long family pass to all three Fremont County Museums.
💬 Appraisals will happen from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4th, with dinner (and auctions) starting at 6:00 p.m.
