(Shoshoni, WY) – It lived up to its name. The Clash of the Crossroads Wrestling Tournament at Shoshoni brought teams to Fremont County along U.S. Highways 20 and 26 that branch in town.
There were 14 teams in attendance from all four corners of Wyoming.
The Cokeville Panthers won the team title with 163 points, holding off the Moorcroft Wolves by three points.
Shoshoni had a pair of gold medalists in Jose Torres at 106 pounds and Brody Shepard at 126. Logan Bacon was fourth at 113.
Shepard scored in about every way possible in the championship match, tallying points on takedowns, near falls, and reversals before winning by technical fall 16-1 over Myles Dayton of Cokeville.
Jose Torres was just as dominating, building a big lead and going the distance against Moorcroft’s Dylan Williams in a 16-8 major decision.
