(Atlantic City, WY) – The Alliance for Historic Wyoming is announcing a call for historic photos and information about the Lemley Mill near Atlantic City. This mill is an important part of Wyoming’s mining history and efforts are underway to stabilize, restore, preserve, and interpret the history of this unique structure.
The Lemley Mill has been the focus of an ongoing project in partnership with the Bureau of
Land Management (BLM) and HistoriCorps to stabilize the structure and preserve its historical context within the Atlantic City region, with the goal of making the site available for the public to enjoy and learn from.
The Alliance for Historic Wyoming is creating interpretive signage for the Lemley Mill with the generous support of the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, and is asking for the public’s help in uncovering photographs and historic information about the structure’s construction, use, and context.
