(Lander, WY) – Celebrate wild food, wild places, and conservation at the 3rd Annual Lander Wild Game Cookoff this August 24 at City Park.
At this family-friendly event, teams compete for the annual crowning of the best wild game cook while getting to share last year’s harvest with the community.
Whether you’re a culinary enthusiast, a wildlife lover, a hunter, or an angler, this event is the perfect opportunity to taste delicious game meat you may not have tried before. Alongside the incredible food, there will be fun games for all ages and chances to win fantastic prizes, including a top prize of binoculars and rangefinder by Maven Optics.
Attendees who purchase tickets ($20 for 18 and up) receive a token for the People’s Choice Award, raffle tickets, and a cold beer with Pushroot Brewing Company. Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase to play more games and boost chances to win these prizes.
Also, enjoy tunes from bluegrass band Pushroot, performing from 6 to 7 PM while attendees taste food and play games. There will be a bear spray demonstration from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, as well as a bear spray giveaway to help you stay safe in the woods this fall.
