RIVERTON, WY — The Central Wyoming College Athletics Department and Booster Club will kick off the 2026–27 academic year with Tailgate by the Turf, a community event celebrating the start of the Rustlers’ home athletics season.
The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, at Wolverine Stadium in Riverton, where the CWC women’s and men’s soccer teams will host Colorado Northwestern Community College at 5 and 7 p.m., respectively.
Beginning at 4:30 p.m., attendees who pay the $5 admission fee will receive a meal voucher redeemable for a burger or hot dog, chips and a drink provided by Rusty’s Corner, while supplies last. Food vouchers will be available for the first 100 attendees.
The tailgate offers an opportunity for students, alumni and community members to meet CWC student-athletes, coaches and Booster Club members while celebrating the start of a new athletic season.
