RIVERTON, Wyo. — Central Wyoming College will host its annual Student Film Festival on Wednesday, May 13, at 7 p.m. at the Acme Theatre on Main Street in downtown Riverton. The event is free and open to the public.
The festival will showcase a variety of films created by CWC students. Some projects represent the culmination of students’ work during the academic year, while others are independently produced films created outside of the classroom.
“The Student Film Festival is an opportunity for our students to share their creativity, storytelling, and technical skills with the community,” said Jeremy Nielsen, Professor of Film at CWC. “These films reflect months of hard work and artistic growth, and we’re excited to celebrate their achievements on the big screen.”
The event highlights the diverse voices and talents of emerging filmmakers at CWC and gives audiences a chance to experience original student work in a theater setting.
Registration is currently open for both summer and fall classes at Central Wyoming College. Students interested in film studies can enroll in a variety of courses this fall, including Introduction to Film, Film Production, Screenwriting, and Cinematography.
