During a Special Regular Council Meeting on April 22, 2025, the Lander City Council voted to appoint Chad Cassady to fill the vacant Ward 2 council seat. Cassady will officially assume his duties after taking the oath of office at the Regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
The Ward 2 vacancy arose when Missy White was elected to serve as Mayor following the
passing of Mayor Monte Richardson on February 12, 2025. Cassady will serve the remainder of the term, which runs through December 31, 2026.
