Lander Library Friends Association
What is the Lander Library Friends Association (LLFA)? The LLFA believes that the library of Lander, Wyoming is fundamental to the well-being of our community. LLFA advocates for the library and provides program and financial support to strengthen its resources and services to the community.
During the past year, the Friends have funded early literacy packets for every new baby born in Lander. This packet consists of two books as well as early literacy information. LLFA supported the courtyard update with furniture and flowers for all to enjoy. Other things that the Friends group have provided funds for: collection development, Met Opera programming, book club kits, a Cricut machine to aid in displays and programs, Canva Pro for creative display and event posters, supplies for the Seed Catalog, expanded magazine offerings, and summer grounds help. The Youth department was able to add portable DVD players for check-out, activities for our Enhanced Storytime program, Jam Jam musical board books, and about 75 titles for the new Phonics Section. At Christmas time LLFA helped sponsor the Open House event and “Where’s Ludlow Scavenger Hunt.”

Lander Performing Arts
Since 1947, Lander Performing Arts has been bringing world-class performances to the heart of our community. From September through April, we present a dynamic lineup of professional music, theater, and/or dance; with shows typically held at the Lander Valley High School auditorium. In recent years, we’ve expanded our mission to include free community outreach programs that make the arts even more accessible to local residents.
Your C4C donation plays a crucial role in supporting these outreach efforts and helps cover artist fees, allowing us to keep ticket prices affordable. Thanks to a passionate board and strong local support, we remain committed to creating shared arts experiences that connect, inspire, and enrich our community.
This year, your C4C donation goes even further! We’re excited to announce that LPA is integrating Art Link’s beloved performing arts programs into our season. That includes youth-focused arts outreach, school assemblies, and a week-long residency with Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) every fall. This September, local K–8 students will get the chance to shine in MCT’s musical production of Red Riding Hood. It’s about sparking imagination and inspiring the next generation of artists and audiences right here in Lander.

Lander Pet Connection
The Lander Pet Connection’s mission is: Compassion in Action. We know you care deeply about area animals in need – so we put your compassion into action! The LPC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter and rescue. We are dedicated to saving the lives of homeless Lander-area animals. We work diligently and positively every day to save the lives of starving, injured and abandoned animals and to assist our community members with dogs and cats that they are no longer able to care for or are found as strays.
Our adoption program finds these animals new, loving homes in our community and beyond. We also provide resources and education to loving pet guardians to better support the human-animal bond in our wonderful community. We are helping people with pets and pets without people.
The mission is big, yet we are a humble, devoted and active group that helps animals throughout Lander and Fremont County Wyoming. Funds raised through Challenge for Charities goes directly to the care and shelter of homeless animals searching for their second chance. We depend on C4C funds every year – your donations allow us to continue our critical work in the Lander community to save the lives of dogs and cats in need. A donation to LPC saves lives!
