Lander Old Timers Rodeo Association
The Lander Old Timers Rodeo Association (LOTRA) is participating in the Lander Community Foundation’s Challenge for Charities (C4C), which is our community’s annual fundraising event for our local non-profit organizations. LOTRA is a not-for-profit volunteer organization that supports our western way of life by putting on the iconic July 3 and 4 Pioneer Days Rodeo for the community. This year is the 131st year of the Pioneer Days Rodeo, recognized as the “Oldest Paid Rodeo in the World.” LOTRA supports our western heritage year-round by maintaining an indoor arena to hold equine events and educational horse-related opportunities for local youth, families and equestrians.
Your Challenge for Charities donation will be used to help put on the Pioneer Days Rodeo this July 3 & 4, provide youth scholarships to the arena, and help maintain our 40-year-old indoor barn. When you donate through Challenge for Charities to LOTRA and the Pioneer Days Rodeo before July 10, your donation will be matched 30-50% by the Lander Community Foundation. Donate anytime between now and July 10 to receive the generous match to your gift.

You can pay by check to the Lander Community Foundation, note that your donation is for LOTRA, and mail it to: Lander Community Foundation, PO Box 1131, Lander WY 82520.

Sinks Canyon Conservancy
Established in 1997, we are an organization that promotes and supports the scientific, educational, and cultural programs and projects in and around Sinks Canyon. We receive, administer and disburse funds for tax exempt charitable, educational, scientific, literary, cultural, recreation and historic purposes.
We provide oversight and account responsibilities for the Sinks Canyon State Park (SCSP) Visitor Center. We have contributed to numerous projects within SCSP such as interpretive signage, resource guides, educational curriculum and programming.
We have also helped fund scientific studies, such as dye tests in the Popo Agie River, post fire soil stabilization and revegetation projects. Your generous gifts will be enjoyed by both local Sinks Canyon users, as well as the visitors we have to the local area.

Sinks Canyon WILD
Have you ever wondered what Lander would be like today if Sinks Canyon hadn’t been protected and set aside for the enjoyment of future generations?
Strong forces have always wanted to develop and privatize the canyon. Imagine how different Lander and Sinks Canyon might be today if Lander’s earlier conservation-minded citizens hadn’t prevailed against those forces. However, due to their admirable conservation advocacy, Sinks Canyon was protected.
Today, Sinks Canyon WILD continues that same tradition of resilient and potent conservation advocacy. We are your passionate voice for keeping the canyon and its surrounding watershed wild. “Keep Sinks Canyon WILD” is not just a slogan to us; it is the driving principle guiding all our public Sinks Canyon: A Deeper Meaning programs and our projects focused in keeping the canyon wild.
Your generous donations, through the Lander Community Foundation’s Challenge for Charities program, have allowed Sinks Canyon WILD to continue Lander’s traditional conservation legacy of protecting the canyon’s natural and cultural resources. Please continue to help us “Keep Sinks Canyon Wild!”

Slow Food Wind River
Slow Food Wind River is a nonprofit hub for local food in the Wind River Basin. We exist to connect our community around good, clean, fair food produced close to home.
Our projects include food-based education, running Meadowlark Market & Kitchen, providing key infrastructure and support to local food producers and artisans, and running a food reclamation program that connects people with perfectly good food that would otherwise go to waste.
Donations will directly support our efforts to reduce waste and educate the next generation of growers, ranchers, chefs, and eaters. We highly respect our donors and recognize that each gift is worth reinvesting into our community. Funds raised will stay local while helping us grow a thriving food economy and community, right here in Lander.
