All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Lander, WY) – An April 3 change of plea hearing has been set for Sean Brennan, according to federal filings posted on March 25.
Brennan was initially charged locally with attempted third-degree sexual abuse of a child back in October, but the local charge was dismissed “for the reason that the Defendant has been indicted in the United States District Court of Wyoming, by authorities of the United States Government,” according to a motion to dismiss document filed in December 2024.
He was then federally charged with possession of child pornography (subsequent offense).
Brennan was originally charged following the efforts of a YouTube channel called ColoradoPedPatrol, which had set up a fake account for a 13-year-old girl named “Sam,” whom Brennan had engaged in illicit/sexual correspondences with leading up to the sting.
The YouTuber, Tommy Fellows, is a self-proclaimed “online child predator catcher” who confronted Brennan with the evidence at his former job in Lander, which ultimately led to his arrest in September 2024.

Brennan pled “not guilty” to the federal charge back in December, and a jury trial was set for February 10, then later rescheduled for May.
However, a non-public plea agreement was later filed on March 25, and the April 3 change of plea hearing was set. At that point, the court will decide whether to accept the plea.
