The City of Lander is aware that many Lander water and sewer customers are affected by the Federal government shutdown.
Any Federal employee or enrolled Tribal member that has been furloughed or is not receiving payments during the government shutdown will be allowed to temporarily defer their utility bill payments without late fees and keep their utility service active.
To avoid future water shut-off, your bill will need to be paid in full two billing cycles after the Federal shutdown has ended.
Water and Sewer customers will need to provide a copy of their Federal or Tribal Identification as verification of eligibility for the deferred payments.
If you would like to defer your utility payment under these circumstances please stop by City Hall at 240 Lincoln Street, Monday – Friday between 8am and 5pm.
