The City of Lander Weed and Pest Department has announced its herbicide application schedule.
According to Kevin Green, City of Lander Weed and Pest Director, “We will be treating turf areas on City properties with herbicides and request that these areas not be entered until the treatment has fully dried. It typically takes two hours for the herbicide to dry. Please review the spraying schedule and adjust your recreational plans accordingly.”
Please ensure that children and pets stay out of these areas until the herbicide has fully dried. Spraying will take place on the following dates and areas.

- City Park Baseball Fields
- Drill Field at City Park
- Tom St John Softball Complex
Wednesday, August 5, 7 AM – 10:30 AM
- Dillon Park
- Antelope Park
- Lander Memorial Tree Garden

- Green Space by McDonald’s
- Jaycee Park
Thursday, August 6, 7 AM – 10:30 AM
- Goodrich Park

Staff will be using Quali-Pro 3-D Herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 53883-378), with active ingredients 2,4-D, Mecoprop-p, and dicamba, for broadleaf weed control.
