(Riverton, Wyo.) – The road closures around the state this morning have resulted in a delay in regular mail and package delivery services in Fremont County.
A spokesperson at the Riverton Post Office said that when the roads reopen, “we’ll get trucks, but so far we have not had a truck today.” Without trucks coming in, that means that no mail is going out, either. Those expecting deliveries, except from local addresses, will have to wait for the roads to clear up somewhat.
At 1:47 p.m. the road from US 20/26 East of Shoshoni to Casper is still closed and no unnecessary travel is recommended between Casper and Glenrock on I-25. Interstate 80 has reopened, but is showing high winds and blowing snow with some areas of limited visibility. WYDOT has posted Chain Law 2 requirements for Highway 28 between Lander and Farson, especially over South Pass.
