35-year-old Jeremy Obermueller of Craig, Colorado was arrested in Lander for being a felon and unlawful user of a controlled substance, as well as a felon in possession of a firearm.
Chief Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl sentenced Obermueller on Wednesday to 58 months of imprisonment, to be followed by 36 months of supervised release.
He will also be ordered to pay a $1,900 fine and a $100 special assessment fee.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives investigated this case.
