Shandee was nominated by Brenda Williams, who shared why “Ms. A,” as her students lovingly call her, makes such a powerful impact. One of the most important things a teacher can do is truly listen, and Ms. A does just that. She brings a huge heart into her classroom every day, meeting students exactly where they are and encouraging success in whatever way that looks like for each individual.
With a special knack for getting students involved and pushing them to do their very best, Shandee creates a space where students feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow. Her dedication and compassion shine through in everything she does, and Riverton High School is lucky to have her.
